John Stankiewicz

Founder & Owner

John Stankiewicz was born with a natural inclination towards the automobile, fidgeting with his mothers AMC Rambler as a child, and building countless model cars lead him to a lifelong path of automotive exploration. At 14 years of age he entered the professional realm of automotive repair as an apprentice carburetor re-builder, rebuilding Rochester Quadrajet carburetors, which quickly evolved to rebuilding carburetors of all makes, completing up to 200 units a week. Once in his early 20's, he began to learn the in and outs of mechanical diagnosis and repair. Learning through experience, he achieved lead technician and managerial positions at many shops across the island. Throughout his early career he spent his free time sharpening his tools with formal education, gaining his NYS ATTP and ASE Certifications,  becoming proficient in the electronic and computerized technologies arriving at the time. His determination to learn separated him from others during a massive influx of electronic engine management/fuel injection innovations, as well as traction control and ABS technology that are common place in the  vehicles we enjoy today.   Although confident in emerging technologies, his true love was that of classic sport and luxury cars. He began engaging in full mechanical restorations of solid axle Corvette's, Fox body Mustangs, early T-Birds and various British makes, his personal favorite being the Jaguar E-Type. When not using his skill for work he would put it toward leisure, modifying his fox body Capri RS and traveling around the tri-state to attend track days and compete in ranked events. His love for autosports briefly crossed into his professional life, serving as a time trial instructor at Bridgehampton raceway throughout the early 90's.  His affinity towards the sports and exotic car scene, and mechanical confidence, brought him to the cars he so long desired to work on. With a love for all makes but a particular draw toward Ferrari, he began repairing and maintaining vintage models. Through his persistent work on classic Ferrari's he became very familiar with the famous Colombo V12 engine, of which drives most early models. He would spend several years working at the East End's most notorious luxury and exotic repair shops, of which provided him the opportunity to attend factory Rolls Royce education & training courses at the Goodwood factory located in  beautiful West Sussex, England.  His pursuit of mechanical perfection inspired him to found Timeless Classics Auto Service in early 2011. His word-of-mouth reputation within the East End gave him & his crew access to some of the most exciting vintage and sports collections on the island, as well as taking on restorations, and being commissioned to prep and show cars of concours quality.

John's bottomless love for the automotive & sports car world continues to produce the quality of work, and customer service that he is known for.

Myles Stankiewicz

Technician

Myles Stankiewicz, also born with a passion for cars, spent his childhood by the side of his father learning the in and outs of mechanical repair and diagnosis, as well as gaining an appreciation for the engineering and craftsmanship that is common place in the majority of exotic and classic sports cars. Having the opportunity to spend his childhood around such cars would instill a fascination with German engineering, specifically BMW and air-cooled Porsche's, both of which continue to be the center of his automotive interest. At 14 he officially began working as a mechanic, through a trade education program provided to him at his high school. Once finishing school he would go on to complete automotive education courses out of state. Returning with certification and  a reinforced basis of mechanical knowledge he began working for Timeless Classics, and has been serving as one of our lead technicians for the last  6 years. Myles' knowledge of German automobiles and appreciation of all makes fast, loud and/or beautiful drive him to treat all mechanical endeavors tentatively and with care.

Derrick Stankiewicz

Derrick Stankiewicz’ passion for cars comes from all things artistic. Similar to his brother, Derrick was raised around all things mechanical. Starting in the office, he realized his skills were better put to use in the shop, joining his brother and father. Never backing down from a challenge, he makes short work of many daunting repairs. His attention to detail means every car he works on gets the care and dedication it deserves.
